There is a sense of timelessness at the Scissors and Comb barber shop, 680 N. Ventura Road, Oxnard, where chairs from the 1930s, 40s and 50s are filled with regular customers who have been coming for most of the 50 years the business has been open, an old-fashioned barber pole swirls in the corner and photos of Ronald Reagan and Plaza Park in 1908 line the walls.
