Outlook: Despite not winning a game last year, optimism is running high at Hueneme this season. After getting the job late last summer, coach Joe Martinez has had an entire offseason to develop a new attitude among his players. Helping that cause has been an infusion of newcomers, including several transfers from Santa Clara. The list includes defensive lineman Bradley and linebacker Espinosa, both who figure to make the defense better. But the biggest new addition might be junior quarterback Barnfather, who played for the junior varsity last season.
