Description
The first Sutter's MIll Restaurant was located in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. It was founded by Jerry and Lee Woods. They had worked in the restaurant business for most of their adult lives, Jerry as a bartender and Lee as a waitress. Their hobby during this period was collecting antique western furniture and memorabilia from the mid 1800's through the early 1900's. These antiques would in time be incorporated into the decor of their restaurants. In their mid-thirties they realized their long time dream and opened their first restaurant.
