I’m a lifelong resident of Ventura and I seen a many change in my 62 years, but I must admit the recent downtown pay to park is the most ridicules change I can remember. My wife and often frequent restaurants and downtown shopping, but due to the recent changes we look elsewhere to spend our retirement money. I really feel for the merchants who are struggling in this down economy, but this one inconvenience I’m not willing to support. Since I live in east Ventura I will be traveling to Santa Paula and Oxnard rather than supporting my own hometown due this poor decision.
