  • BRITLYN GARRETT Cal Lutheran Women's Track and Field The 5-foot-7 senior wrote a storybook ending to her CLU career by capturing the javelin title at the NCAA Track and Field Championships. Garrett placed first by unleashing a school-record throw of 154 feet, 8 inches and earned All-America status. The Sammamish, Wash., resident captured the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title in the javelin to help CLU earn a share of the SCIAC team title for the first time in program history. Garrett graduated with a degree in business marketing. Her favorite movie is "Remember the Titans," her favorite pro team is the Oklahoma City Thunder and her favorite TV show is "Pretty Little Liars."
  • EDER GIOTTO Ventura College Men's tennis The freshman from Brazil was the unsung hero of the Western State Conference champion, despite usually playing No. 4 or No. 5 singles. She finished a perfect 8-0 in WSC singles play and 17-3 overall. Giotto was 2-0 in the playoffs, winning the only point in the 5-1 loss to Mt. San Jacinto in the SoCal semifinals. He reached the round of 16 in the state doubles tournament with partner Paolo Fernandes and The Ojai doubles quarterfinals with partner Cameron Lee.
  • KELSEY BERGEMANN Cal Lutheran Women's Water Polo The 5-foot-6 senior completed her CLU career by being named to the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference second team for the second time. Bergemann led the Regals with 56 goals while also recording 16 assists. The Sacramento resident drew 37 ejections and registered 39 steals. Bergemann ranks No. 3 at CLU in career goals (154) and No. 6 in assists (75) and drawn ejections (94). She majored in exercise science and wants to become a nurse. Her favorite music is country, her favorite professional team is the Sacramento Kings and her favorite TV show is "Criminal Minds."
  • BRENNA CALLERO Cal Lutheran Women's Golf The 5-foot-7 freshman made her CLU debut during the women's golf team's inaugural season. Callero was an All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference second-team selection. The Thousand Oaks High graduate shot a season-low 84 on the second day of the SCIAC Championships and finished tied for the ninth overall. Callero is majoring in business administration and political science. Her favorite movie is "Top Gun," her favorite food his chicken fingers and fries and her favorite TV show is "Myth Busters."
  • AMBER PANAPA Ventura College Women's track and field The freshman from St. Bonaventure High picked up where her older sister Brianna left off with a promising first year as a Pirates thrower. The WSC champion in the discus finished third in the state in the event to earn All-American status. Her throw of 144 feet, 3 inches was the second-best mark in school history. She also competed in all four throws at WSCs, finishing in the top 10 in all four, and competed in three throws at SoCals.
  • TYLER PETERSEN Moorpark College Men's volleyball The 6-foot outside hitter from Royal High symbolized the scrappy Raiders, who ripped off three straight sweeps to end the regular season and clinch a playoff berth. He was named first-team All-Western State Conference and finished fifth in the state with 3.45 kills per game. He also finished in the top 10 in aces (0.29) and top 20 for digs (1.79) per game. Petersen hit .243 for the season, and led the team with 16 kills in the four-game loss to Irvine Valley in the state quarterfinals.
  • NIKO ALTHAUS Moorpark College Men's track and field The sophomore from Thousand Oaks High overcame a slow start to the season to give the Raiders an All-American pole vaulter in their final meet before the program's suspension. He won the Western State Conference pole vault title with a personal best of 15 feet, 5 inches and finished third in the state with a leap of 14-11. He also competed in the javelin, long jump, sprints and relays.
  • WESTLEY WRIGHT Oxnard College Baseball The 6-foot-2, 210-pound sophomore from Moorpark High was the consistent force in the middle of the Condors lineup and outfield. He hitsafely in 28 of 31 games from Feb. 3 to April 19, including 19 straight. Wright led the team in batting average (.366), slugging (.538), runs scored (37), doubles (10), triples (3) and home runs (3). He finished third in the WSC North in hitting and was voted unanimous first-team All-WSC North selection. wright was also honored as the WSC North Gold Glove center fielder. He will transfer to Chico State.
  • ANDY STANFIELD Ventura College Men's golf The freshman from West Valley Christian capped his first season with a hard charge, shooting an even-par 142 to finish second at the state tournament at Santa Maria C.C. His first-round 66 was the best round of the event. After finishing 24th individually in the WSC (79.1 average), he qualified for the state tournament by shooting a 4-over 148 at the SoCal Regionals at Glendora C.C. He also shot a 4-over 148 to guide VC to a second-place finish at the WSC Championships.
  • NICK ROGOWSKI Moorpark College Baseball The 6-foot-2, 170-pound freshman from Woodbridge, Va., spurred the Raiders to the WSC North title in their final season by leading the team in both hitting (.336) and pitching (1.65 ERA). He also led the WSC North in ERA. Rogowski made a key, highlight-reel catch in the outfield in the title-clinching win over Hancock. He was honored as WSC North Player of the Year and CCCBCA All-American. With Moorpark not fielding a team next season, he will transfer to Cypress College.
  • JANAI SHAW Oxnard College Softball The 5-foot-8 sophomore from Pacifica High led the Condors in hitting (.360), hits (41), runs scored (26) and home runs (6). Shaw only struck out seven times all season, and had multiple hits in 12 of the first 17 games of the season. She was 3 for 3 with a single, double and home run in a 10-0 win over San Bernardino Valley on March 3. She slugged two home runs against Hancock on March 27. Shaw filled in on the mound in 11 games and threw a three-hit shutout in a 1-0 win over Cuesta on March 29. She was named second-team All-WSC Gold.
  • ERIC ROGERS Cal Lutheran Men's Track and Field The 6-foot-4, 195-pound junior earned All-America status for the second straight season. Rogers finished sixth in the triple jump at the NCAA Track and Field Championships. He placed second in the triple jump and high jump and fourth in the long jump at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships and was a first-team All-SCIAC selection. The Duarte resident is majoring in criminal justice with a minor in sociology and wants to join the SWAT team. His favorite pro teams are the Lakers, Cowboys and Yankees, and he enjoys watching anything involving a Kardashian.
  • DEWEY GRATTAN Ventura College Baseball The 6-foot-2, 210-pound first baseman from Moorpark High gave the young Pirates an experienced slugger in the middle of the lineup. Grattan led the WSC North in home runs (7) and finished third in RBIs (36). He hit .324 and slugged .581, while pounding an extra-base hit in seven of 10 games from Feb. 23 to March 15. He had five RBIs in an 11-2 win over Compton on Feb. 25. Grattan was named first-team All-WSC North.
  • KIM KOLBIAS Cal Lutheran Women's Tennis The 5-foot-8 senior capped her CLU career by being named to the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first team for the first time. Kolbias played the No. 1 singles and doubles spots for the Regals. The Moorpark High graduate was a second-team All-SCIAC selection as a junior. She is a member of the CLU Scholar-Athlete Society. Kolbias majored in biology at CLU and her career goal is to become a doctor. Her favorite athlete is Kim Clijsters, her favorite food is Taco Bell and her favorite group is Florence & The Machine.
  • TERESA LEMOS Ventura College Softball The 5-foot-7 sophomore from Rio Mesa High was the force on the mound that propelled the Pirates to the WSC Gold title. She went 26-6 with a 1.30 ERA, 11 shutouts, 25 complete games and 175 strikeouts in 199 innings. She struck out 10 or more six times. Lemos also anchored the lineup, hitting.403 with a state-leading 11 triples, 33 runs scored and 35 RBIs. She slugged three triples in a 4-3 win over Antelope Valley on March 31. Lemos was honored as the WSC Gold Pitcher of the Year and named to the All-State team.
  • ABBY PUCZKOWSKI Ventura College Women's swimming The versatile Westlake High product wrapped up her freshman year with the performance of the season. On the final day of the CCCAA state championships, she finished second in the 100 freestyle and fourth in the 100 backstroke on consecutive swims minutes apart, then anchored a state-title, school-record performance in the meet's final event, the 400 freestyle relay, to ensure the Pirates finished third as a team. She won the WSC title in the 100 backstroke. Puczkowski is also a 4.0 student.
  • JULIANNA BACELAR Ventura College Women's tennis The freshman from Brazil spurred the Pirates to a perfect 19-0 season and their first state title. Bacelar responded to having her perfect 30-0 singles record broken in the opening match at state by winning nine matches over three days to become the fifth player in state history to sweep the three state championships — team, singles and doubles. She joined Ventura's Ashley Litchfield as the only women to sweep The Ojai, SoCal and state singles titles.
  • HENRY CHUNG Ventura College Men's swimming The 19-year-old freshman from Hong Kong was a revelation for the Pirates, winning three state championships and setting three school records over three days at the CCCAA state championships. He earned Performance of the Meet honors by winning the 50-yard freestyle (20.00 seconds), 100-yard freestyle (44.44) and 100-yard backstroke (48.53). Chung earned WSC Athlete of the Year honors by setting WSC records in the 50 free, 100 back and 400 medley relay.
  • MIKEY MCGINN Cal Lutheran Men's Golf The 6-foot-2, 255-pound sophomore posted some impressive results for the Kingsmen this season. McGinn finished tied for 27th at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships. The Springville resident shot a 68 to lead all players at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match No. 4. McGinn was an All-SCIAC first-team selection and was named an All-West Region selection by the Golf Coaches Association of America. McGinn is majoring in business administration. His favorite movie is "The Hangover," his favorite music is classic rock and his favorite food his Mexican.
  • HEAVEN SILVEIRA Moorpark College Softball The 5-foot-7 freshman from Santa Clara High backstopped the Raiders' all-freshman team. She led the team in hitting (.402), extra-base hits (18) and RBIs (37), and was named first-team All-WSC Gold. She finished in the top 5 in the division in doubles (11) and RBIs, slugged homers in back-to-back games twice and drove in multiple runs 11 times. Silveira went 3 for 4 in a 6-5 win over rival Ventura on April 5. She caught five different pitchers.
  • PHILLIP HANLEY Ventura College Men's track and field The freshman from Thousand Oaks was a threat in multiple field events for the Pirates. He jumped 14 feet, 5¼ inches in the pole vault and 6-4 in the high jump, earning sixth and 10th place, respectively, at the state meet. He tied for second place in the high jump (6-7½) at SoCals, where he also finished sixth (14-5½) in the pole vault. Hanley finished 13th in the Southern California decathlon with 5,334 points. He also competed in the hurdles.
  • NICK BALLOU Cal Lutheran Men's Tennis The 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior was one of the last two players standing in Division III this season by reaching the singles final at the NCAA Championships. Ballou finished with a 26-7 record in singles and was named an All-American in singles and doubles. He captured the Division III men's singles title at The Ojai and was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year after going 18-0 in SCIAC play in singles and doubles. The Orinda resident is a communications major. His favorite pro teams are the San Francisco 49ers, Boston Bruins and Golden State Warriors, and his favorite pro athlete is John McEnroe.
  • MEGAN MCNALLY Moorpark College Women's track and field The freshman from Simi Valley High joined the Raiders' strong sophomore distance core and fit right in, finishing fourth in the 5,000 meters (18 minutes, 17 seconds) at the state championships to earn All-American status. She also finished fifth (38:36.62) in 10,000 meters, and wasseventh and third in the events, respectively, at SoCals. She finished second and sixth in the events, respectively, at WSCs. McNally won the 5,000 at the Mount SAC Relays. She also ran the 800, 1,500, 3,000, two miles and distance relays during the season.
  • TREVOR KOONS Cal Lutheran Baseball The 5-foot-10, 185-pound junior shortstop was a first-team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection for the second straight year. Koons led the Kingsmen with a .395 batting average, 34 RBIs and 14 doubles. The Oceanside resident batted .442 in conference play. He was an All-West Region first-team selection by D3baseball.com and an All-West Region third-team selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Koons is majoring in business administration with a minor in marketing. His favorite TV show is "The Office," his favorite pro team is the Angels and his favorite player is Brendan Ryan.
