The predatory birds at the Ojai Raptor Center will be hard at work Saturday when as many as 1,000 visitors will be welcome at a free annual open house. Among more than two dozen raptors will be a new arrival, an Internet star named Avalon who is not yet trained. The female bald eagle will be visible only from afar.
