Ron Souza spent the first 12 years of his life in Kauai, and he keeps going back to the tropics in his paintings, which are mostly seascapes and tropical florals. 'I feel drawn to paint seascapes or the ocean,' Souza said. 'It was what I wanted to do the first time I picked up a paintbrush.'
