Police arrest 2 in Oxnard after finding gun, drugs in stolen car

An Oxnard man and teen were arrested early Monday after police found drugs and a loaded weapon in a stolen car, officials said.

Oxnard police said they saw a stolen vehicle about 3 a.m. in the 4000 block of South C Street. The driver, 16, and a passenger, 21, were taken into custody, police said.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found a .22-caliber revolver and small quantity of methamphetamine, police said.

The teen was arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle and possession of narcotics and booked into juvenile hall.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle and booked into Ventura County jail.
