A Fillmore man was killed and a boy was injured in a shooting late Saturday, authorities said.
Ventura County sheriff’s deputies found an 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds lying on Grand Avenue in Fillmore about 11:59 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A boy who had gunshot wounds was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
The victims were shot near a party at a home on Grand, officials said.
The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects are in custody.
Authorities are not releasing the name of the man killed until his next of kin are notified.
Capt. Don Aguilar, a Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said it appeared the man and boy were among the large gathering.
About 50 to 100 people were at the party, he said.
An autopsy of the man will be performed Monday, officials said.
