An off-duty Ventura County Sheriff's deputy suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle Sunday in Thousand Oaks, officials said.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and emergency personnel responded about 6:10 p.m. to a call in the 300 block of Raindance Street, officials said.
Officials were still investigating the incident as of 8:30 p.m. but said the deputy was standing near the street when he was hit by the vehicle, which fled the scene.
The deputy was taken to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center and was treated for the minor injuries, officials said.
The incident was being investigated as a hit-and-run, but investigators were on scene and expected to make an arrest by Sunday night, officials said.
