Two Oxnard men were arrested Thursday afternoon after a teen’s stereo headphones were stolen, police said.

Police said they were called to the 200 block of East Dollie Street about 4:50 p.m. after being told of a fight there.

When police arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy who had been battered, authorities said. He suffered minor injuries, police said.

Police said they found Pedro Diaz Gutierrez, 20, and Braulio Alfaro Martinez, 23, a short distance away. Both were arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken to county jail, authorities said.

Police said they recovered the teen’s headphones.

You may have missed my point, which is "what is the point?" Think about the crimes that people are already there for, yet being released in droves. In this case they could have just apologized given the property back, and gone down the road to rob the local 7-11, a mucho more "worthy of jail time" crime.
