An autopsy shows that a 59-year-old Oxnard man who was found dead on Monday died because of a homicide, authorities said on Wednesday.

David Salazar was found dead in a yard along the side of his house along the 300 block of Robert Avenue at 8:47 a.m. Monday.

Police said on Wednesday they do not know the motive behind Salazar’s death. It is the 13th homicide this year for Oxnard.

Anyone with information on his death is asked to call Detective Ken Tougs at 805-200-5669.

Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information leadng to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for homicides.
