Question: I heard that the Dallas Cowboys are coming to Naval Base Ventura County. How do I get in to meet them?
Answer: I’ve been getting asked about this everywhere I go. Who’d have thought there were so many Cowboys fans on the West Coast?
The Dallas Cowboys are using Point Mugu as their landing field on their way to training camp in Oxnard. They will land Saturday, July 28, around 2 p.m. and have offered to conduct a 45-minute autograph session at the VR-55 hangar on Ronald Reagan Boulevard.
At the team’s request, this session will be open to active duty military members in uniform and their dependents. Dependents old enough to have dependent ID cards must be prepared to show them.
Everyone will be allowed to choose which player they’d like to see there will be multiple lines and tables for the 80-plus players and coaches and will be limited to one signature per person. Navy Exchange staff will also be on hand selling Cowboys memorabilia should you wish to purchase an item to have signed.
Opportunities like this are part of what makes NBVC such a unique and interesting place to live and work, and I need your feedback to make it even better!
