Got to go check a house for bed bugs this a.m. Yuck!
@ Pearler : The lures are in the mail. I sent 1 with no blade, it has the trout color skirt. Just rig the spinner blade (like the one you sent me) put on wire and bend with needle nose pliers and you are ready to go.

it's refreshing to see that after such a lengthy battle, "they" haven't succeeded in beating the 'hope' outta ya! Trudge strong my friend.
@Smack, 'bedbugs' were a topic of discussion for Alec Baldwin, on an old episode of "30 Something" that I watched last night...nuttin' nice!

They are pretty tough to get rid of.
About the only 2 ways you can be sure to kill them is fumigation, which is a 4 day process or Thermal Heat (hot air) 120 degrees. Nasty little buggers

This is really neat. The left over parts at the end tell the reason I’m not a motorhead. That’s EXACTLY what would have happened to me.

Where is my g/f at?
*Anyone born in the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s..we are the last generation who played in the street. We are the first to play video games, the last to record songs off the radio on a cassette tape. We walked a mile with no worries to be taken. We learned how to progam the VCR
before anyone else. We are the generation Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes and Captain Kangaroo. We travled in cars without a car seat, seat belts or air-bags. Lived without cell phones. We did not have flat screens, surround sound, iPods, FaceBook, Twitter, computers or the internet....BUT nevertheless we had a GREAT time!*

Not in today's Liberal Society. Remember, it was Hillary Clinton who said 'It Takes A Village' to raise children.
This absolves spawners from their parental responsibilities; as witnessed by the increase in juvenile crime. Remember - today's juvies were newborns when Clinton was President - 12 - 16 years ago. The timeline fits!
Hi, BC'ers! Just dropped in from the Texas site where I've been hovering and once in a while commenting and thought I'd see what's going on here; most times I can take Shunned's word for it but on occasion I have to see for myself.
Took a peak at Mike's Mama's Basement as well. Insanity Reigns. I wish I had some of those hallucinogens when I was young and dumm. Now that I'm old and dumm it doesn't seem as enticing.
And I did see the dual '1 Bookworm' posts that were copied here butt VK denies. He forgets - they delete (censor) over there as frequently as they do here. I saw them when they were still up over there.
Based on descriptions from mutual acquaintances - that photo is a dead likeness for her and her 'mate'. A 'spider / fly' moment if I ever saw one! I even recognized the filthy box in the background; is THIS in their future?

Gotta run. It's largely open chat on the SAST site. It hasn't been that way in a LONG time.
If I'm not back - have a Happy and Safe and Sane (but not TOO sane, or where's the fun?) 4th!
Oh, by the way - LOVE the Batman references and posts! Far more imaginative and humorous than River Village. No Pet Simians With Inferiority Complexes and Drinking Problems Here!

It amazes me that they bald face lie and distort the facts, but if you do not catch them,it is an acceptable practice. How can the department of justice defend criminals? That don't make no sense.
It is so bad ez.I have from their own records shown them fraud.i had the first wreck in december of 1980,was denied,in january of 1982.i had another critical injury.i apply and am denied, this goes on for years.i ask for my social security file and get garrbleed up nonsense.i finally get my "complete" Full D.I.B. review sheet and immediately my records do not match theirs. The 1982 injury has been changed to say reconsideration of the 1980 injuries.medical records purged, correspondence to my representatives purged. For 36 months the denials state,"condition is serious, but not expected to last 12 monthe."
on and on my friend,a nightmare and i have the evidence,it is their records sent to me and they are different than their on record files;).Tampering with a judges decree,perjury,threats...
Folks you might want to ask for a copy of your social security records and keep them updated;).I have thirty years of them.
oH and when they requested medicals from the hospital that treated me.They claimed in writing "no records of patient".yet stamped on the request are three numbers which are on every medical record i drove to hosp. and got.and ez when i got there the records where in the basement to be shreded THAT day!
Thank God,i got there in the nick of time.I suspect the texas rehabilitation commission knew of the fact,as it had been more than 10 years;).

Yup, there was bed bedbugs there, my client got them at thee top amusement park in the U.S. She has over 100 bites!
All my BC friends out there, before you stay at ANY motel, hotel, B&B, resort, cabin rentals, RV rentals CHECK the place out before bringing anything in. If you must bring in luggage put in bathtub and tear your bed apart and inspect. Then call the housekeeper to remake. When booking tell the person making reservation that you will be checking and ask up front " Have you had any bedbug problems in this establishment? Legally they have to tell you!
smacktalk writes:
Pull of sheets and check around "ticking" under mattress buttons, lift mattress and box spring and look for live bugs and rusty colored fecal spots. Every time a bed bites you it poops some blood. look behind headboard, never , never put your luggage on luggage rack until completely inspecting.

Forever_Young writes:
A California state legislator has introduced a bill that would allow children to legally have more than two parents.
http://www.wnd.com/2012/07/baby-has-m...
AliChat writes:
This is already accepted procedure. They're called 'step' parents.
And in the case of gay parents, the biological father (in the case of a female same-sex where one was impregnated) is already legally liable for the support of the child - check out the issue with Melissa Etheredge - David Crosby is the biological pop - and he's on the hook for support if for some reason the two moms (who are no longer together) need it.
Legally.
This is another way that gay extremists are purposely not just destroying the concept of 'Nuclear Family' - they're getting government into areas it does not belong - the family unit itself.
AND taking tax dollars away from vital programs (like Education and Public Safety) to do it.
I mean - we're talking a small percentage of the population of the state; by some estimates to be less than 8% - and yet it's going to cost far more than the circumstances would justify just to MONITOR the so-called 'multi-parents' of these rarities - and I say rarity because, in YOUR life's experience - have you ever known anybody with circumstances such as this article lists? I've only heard of one.
Just one. And I only HEARD about it.
And the courts ruled partial for all parental parties. Just like this bill is attempting to make law.
I worry about control like this. It's like automatically awarding custody to the mom, because women are seen as the more 'nurturing' of the couple.
In the case of my ex - not so. She made it clear she didn't want to be a parent anymore and walked out of her daughter's life; leaving her to be raised by her ex-fiancee.
That would be me.
Mother is trying to get back in - daughter refuses to have anything to do with her. She has her own family now.
Karma.
We've also read where the mom gets the kid and then kills the kid. But THIS is how Liberalism works. Rather than do what's best for the child and either grant custody to the father or legally responsible male - OR remove them from the home and put them in foster care AND MONITOR THAT FOSTER CARE SITUATION - they go to drunk, drug-addled non-interested mom.
And the kid suffers.
There's your 'Bleeding Heart Liberalism' for you.
This bill is more of the same - but much broader based.
Sarie writes:
Like AliChat said, children with more than two parents is a well-established condition in our modern-era of divorce and what have you ... though, I don't see anything in the bill that supports giving custody to irresponsible parents ... hasn't it been the case that biological parents are given the greatest right to custody of their offspring since forever? With the exception of the sad days of slavery, I imagine. Anyway, my take on this subject. Back to the some light fare, the Dodgers game ... not soon enough. :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parent
Parent
Children can have one or more parents, but they must have two biological parents. Biological parents consist of the male who sired the child and the female who gave birth to the child. In all human societies, the biological mother and father are both responsible for raising their young. However, some parents may not be biologically related to their children. An adoptive parent is one who nurtures and raises the offspring of the biological parents but is not actually biologically related to the child. Children without adoptive parents can be raised by their grandparents or other family members.

Wow Pearler and Rib sounds like you have a mess to handle. I've heard this before and thought of you.
Sometimes your greatest asset is simply your ability to stay with it longer than anyone else, so don't be discouraged. It's often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock.
Good Luck to you
I hope everyone is going to have a safe, fun day tomorrow. I've heard fireworks the last two nights.
