A flawed legacy

Currently, the national debt is approaching $16 trillion. Being one of the nation’s youth, I am afraid that the

political gridlock in Washington, D.C., will not allow a balanced budget to be passed.

If Washington does not fix this problem, then my generation will have the burden of paying back this huge amount of debt.

It is crucial that we elect leaders with the conviction and proven track record of opposing wasteful spending and a commitment to adopting a balanced budget, and Tony Strickland is the only candidate for Congress who has the backbone and political conviction to stand up to Washington bureaucrats and just say no!

As foreign creditors continue to absorb more and more of our debt, we threaten to become the first generation to pass a weaker America to our children and grandchildren. Strickland believes that it is

the job of every generation to pass on a country that is better than the one we inherited, and I couldn’t agree with him more.

We desperately need more representatives who will take that mindset with them to Washington, and that is why I support Tony Strickland for Congress.

Ernesto, study recent history. It is Strickland's party (aka George W. Bush) that took a budget surplus and turned it into the spiraling national debt. No partisanship here, Obama continued the disastrous Bush tax cuts while allowing two of Bush's unfunded wars to continue. Stupid is as stupid does.

My advice to you: 1) just for fun, check out the 1973 movie, Soylent Green - perhaps you'll like the flavor; 2) learn Chinese - they'll own you soon.

My generation has squandered your generation's legacy. You had better get off your keister and get political because ain't nobody got your interests at heart except you. Good luck, you're going to need it!

Nice try Tony is as partisian as it gets and will vote right down party lines. He's not going to change anything.

You are absolutely right. The House has sent numerous budget bills to the Senate where Reid refused to even put them to a vote. Reid is afraid that moderate Democrats will not always tow the party line. He won't let that happen and so the deadlock continues. I have watched Strickland as well and will be voting for him in November.

No kidding. At least the republican house has put out bills but the senate won't vote on them. Then they claim we, the right, are the bad guys holding things up.
I keep wondering when folks will wake up and start calling them on their collective BS.

The government has been passing debt to the next generation for more than just one generation.

They want to raise the age for Social Security and lower the benefits, but nobody ever brings up the fact that they have raided the Social Security fund for decades.

Why is this?

They apparently have no intention to ever pay back those IOU's.

Strickland is just as useless as any other politician, if not more so.

All he ever does is look for another government job to run for.

How many pensions has he accumulated so far, and how much will he be making when he finally retires?

Strickland is part of the problem, not the solution!

Blah blah blah, in typical fashion, CatNuts here qualifies his statement. Really TomCat? You have read each and every one of those bills sent to the Senate, you know every line item of every budget number, and you have determined they are not rational or thought out.

HAHAHAHAH
