BUENA BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB: Team meeting and registration will be today at 7 p.m. at the Buena Faculty Room (near cafeteria). Girls meeting from 6 to 7:15 p.m., boys meeting from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Spring season will be March 5 to May 15, Girls will play in CCA Zone League with 14, 16 and 18U teams offered. Girls practice times are Monday and Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. Boys will play in spring tournaments for 14U, 16U and 18U. Practice times Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. 14U players cost is $250 and all others are $325. YOUTH LEAGUE: Registration is being accepted for the five-a-side league in Ojai running March 3 to May 12. Cost is $75. FLAG FOOTBALL
VENTURA LEAGUE: Boys and girls in kindergarten through sixth grade can register through Friday for the Ventura YMCA spring leagues. Practices and games will be on Saturday mornings starting March 3. Information: 642-2131, ext. 13.
PEE WEE LEAGUE: Registration for players ages 6-7 will close Friday. The league is offered by the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme. This a four-week pilot program that holds practices two days a week with games beginning Saturday, March 17, and ending April 14. The league will place emphasis on passing, receiving, flag-pulling, teamwork, sportsmanship and having fun. The fee is $20, plus a $15 membership. USYVL: The United States Youth Volleyball League will offer an eight-week spring league from March or April to June 2012 in Ventura, Camarillo, Oxnard, Ojai, Agoura Hills, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. BASKETBALL
SEASIDE TOURNAMENT: The 15th annual Ventura Seaside Tournament will be held April 20-22. There will be boys and girls divisions for grades 3-4, 5, 6, 7, 8, JV and varsity. Upper and lower divisions offered to equalize competition. Last year more than 100 teams participated. Proceeds go to Ventura youth and school basketball programs and scholarships.
