Cmdr. James Borghardt addresses the crowd for the first time as VX-30's new commanding officer.
Cmdr. James Borghardt became the commanding officer of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 30 (VX-30) on Feb. 16 during a ceremony at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu.
The outgoing commanding officer, Cmdr. John Rousseau, was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal during the ceremony. Pinning the medal on him was Capt. Paul Sohl, Naval Test Wing Pacific commodore.
Rear Adm. Mat Winter, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division commander, spoke at the ceremony.
