Weather: A wind advisory is in effect in the coastal valleys of Ventura County until noon today, the National Weather Service reported.

Forecasters predict northeast winds from 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph in local valleys.

Sunny conditions are also in the forecast, after morning clouds.

High temperatures in the 70s to lower 80s are expected along the coast and in interior valleys, according to the weather service.

Traffic: At 6:20 a.m. the California Highway Patrol was not reporting any major traffic collisions or hazards on county roadways.

Police and Fire: Late Tuesday night and early this morning were routine around Ventura County, local law enforcement officials said.
