Two arrested in Ventura over stolen vehicle

Two people were arrested in Ventura on Tuesday evening on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle.

Police said they stopped the pair near Valentine Road and South Victoria Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. The two were in a stolen vehicle, police said.

Police added that person behind the wheel of the vehicle tried to drive away but was thwarted by police who blocked the area, making it impossible to leave.

Police are expected to release more information on the incident shortly.
