Morning all,

Kids up and at school. They didn't want to wake up so early, thankfully they didn't complain.
We saw who was in their new class, some friends from before, some new faces. I don't know the teachers but will be volunteering through out the school year.
Packed a lunch and snacks, don't know if they want to have cafeteria lunch. >.<
I wonder if they will come home and quickly take a nap. At least the first couple of days. :)
In a couple of weeks they have a day off, Labor Day, then the week after, another day off.

It's so quiet in my house, got to get used to it again. I would love to find a part-time job while they are in school. But they have so many days off and early dismissal, that kind of doesn't work well with employers 8-I

Quiet around here today also CC, the little boy across the street was so excited for school to start. He's so cute, he's in first grade, and missing his two front teeth, we'll see if he's still as excited in a week or two.

Have a good day all!

i don't know how to say this ...

other than 'too cool',
your description of how your day goes at this point in time is awesome.

i, for one not having kids, sometimes forget what it must be like for people with kids to deal with at the start of a new school year.

Sincerely thank you;
for you insights.

made me thick about what parents must have gone through....considering it was not just a new school year but a new school to boot more often than not.

my father was, a what was called a "civilian working military".. so every year it was a new military base school for me..

Git after them.
Ya much better day than yesterday. Got all caught up with everything. About 40% of what was on emails and phone messages could have been handled by my office staff. It would be too much to step up and do some work that not yours. Hey that's why I am their supervisor.
Take a little initiative....Nah

Well thank you very much :)

one thing I remember about starting school was seeing if I would get new clothes. It didn't happen often, tight budget, but when we did OH BOY! Yippee! A new folder was a treat too. :)

I doubt someone would attack you for a simple misspelled word.
It's not like you come on here and correct people with their misspelled words. Nor act like your smarter or need to talk down to people, and wag your finger at them.

Thank you :)
Now I get to do things I couldn't do but since I have plenty of time:
1. Shampoo the carpet, living room and hallway.
2. Scrub down the kitchen floor and let it dry completely. (unlike before little footprints.:)
3. Sort out the kids drawer, they don't like to see me take out their 'favorite socks' even though it may need a few repairs.
4. Go take a peek at their toys, if it's not used in the past couple of months, bye bye into the garage in a large plastic tub.

Lucky aren't I? :-D

p.s. those cupcakes are "supposed" to glow in the dark, but I wouldn't be so sure.

<SIGH> shakes head and wonder about some "adults"

Daycare Workers Allegedly Organize Brutal 'Boxing Match' Between Toddlers

According to reports, the three women, who range in age from 19 to 47, are accused of forcing two boy toddlers to hit each other in the face and head while they filmed it, laughed, and set down rules like, "No pinching, only punching."

Police say that one of the babies is crying and doesn't want to fight, and that he is "pushed back into the fray by one of the adults." One child was reportedly "screaming and crying and holding his face while being punched."

The whole thing is filmed on a cell phone. The video has not been released. It was apparently discovered after a man showed police the video when they were investigating something else -- and please I hope that "something else" wasn't also at this daycare! The three employees have been charged with child endangerment among other things. The daycare has had its license suspended.

Hey players, que pasa?!

Sitting here looking out my 3rd floor window(OK, it's street level) getting ready for a beautiful sunset(or watch the pavement cooling). Reading an interesting article online about international affairs(watching free porn) and sipping a velvety yet oddly citrus wine(Budwieser).

I hope you lovely folks(right) have a wonderful evening(as if I give a damn).

Hey Blondie, this is no joke. I know you are a bit of a feline specialist...I have a question.

I have two cats, both adopted ty, one has a bit of an issue lately. Seems to have lost it's way to the litter box, whats up with that?

We have had this cat for 6 years, always a responsible cat, until now.

I am a patient man, yet see the value in Korean culinary attitude.

Any remedies?

CC, my sis w/kids' first day of school went about the same. :) Though, as to a part-time job, she's fortunate in that she's a free-lance graphic artist and can work from home. She and an older brother of mine have that talent. Though, as to work, he's a vocational therapist. Anyway, I envy them their artistic abilities ...

@IYSS, WAIT! I know this one:

"Living in a glass house you really should change clothes in the basement."

Seriously, in both instances above, my use of three question marks(???) simply suggested I didn't understand what the term "crazy house" referred to.
It certainly didn't warrant such an aggressive and hostile reply.
Seems your couple days 'off work' is very well timed! (R&R_ rest and regroup)
