Q: How come you don’t have the Blue Angels?

A: Air shows at the Southwest Region are rotated yearly between three bases: Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Point Mugu and Naval Air Stations Fallon and Lemoore. The military jet demonstration teams select from among those facilities based on their schedule.

Q: Why are you having an air show this year?

A: The NBVC Air Show is the largest two-day event in Ventura County. It is important for NBVC to put on an air show to let the public know there is a Navy base here and the role Point Mugu provides in defense of our country. The community gets a chance to meet the servicemen and women who serve in our military and see what NBVC’s role is in our nation’s defense.
